Ottawa Public Library Programs
This is just a sampling of the many, many terrific activities put on by the Ottawa Public Library. In addition to activities of the type listed below, the library holds babytime and toddlertime story hours, mother-and-daugther and father-and-son reading clubs, homework clubs, and much more!
Note that registration is required for these activities.
To find an activity you want to register for, or to see all the activities happening at your branch, visit the library's program page and choose your branch from the pull-down menu, then click on "submit", or enter the date of the program you want to regsister for and click on "submit". You can then click on "register" and fill in the online registration form.

- Black History Month - Poetry and Paint
Sat. February 18, 2012 (2 to 3:30 pm)
Learn about slam poetry and see how to connect the beauty of words to paint. Offered in collaboration with the Library Settlement Partnership (LSP): Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), and Ottawa Public Library. Held on the 2nd floor in the Children's Department.

Artist, Edna J. Patterson-Petty, will help us create a 12x12 quilt square illustrating 'in to me I see'; our thoughts and how we perceive ourselves/ how others perceive us. Free workshop in partnership with the Ottawa Art Gallery. All quilting materials and embellishments provided by the Ottawa Art Gallery.
